Choc coated Flapjacks
Makes 12
Prep time 15 minutes
Cooking time 30 minutes
115 g Soft brown sugar
150 g Butter
1 tbs Golden syrup
1 tsp vanilla essence
180 g porridge oats
1 handful raisins
200 g chocolate
What you need to do
Grease and line with parchment paper a 8" square baking tin. Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan, when melted take off the heat and add the vanilla, oats and raisins and give a good stir so all the oats are coated. Turn the mixture out into the prepared baking tin a press gently into the tin making sure its nice and even. Now bake in a pre heated oven (150 c) for about 30 mins. When lightly browned take out of the oven and leave to cool, you can melt the chocolate in a saucepan gently and pour over the flapjack, now put in the fridge to set and cool.
When set cut up into bite sized chunks and steam in.....
